Father’s Day is a week away and if you’re anything like me, you’re usually scouring the internet for the perfect gift idea at about this time. This year, I decided to relive my childhood a bit and create handprint and footprint shrinky dink keychains. Look no further for an idea because this tutorial is SO easy and makes the perfect keepsake.

Materials
- Shrinky Dink Crystal Clear Paper
- Parchment Paper
- Hole Punch
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Sharpies
- Scissors
- Keychain Rings
- Ink Pads
- Mod Podge

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 325° F.
Step 2
Dip your child’s hand or foot into the ink pad and then firmly stamp it onto the shrinky dink paper.
Step 3
Open up your embossing power and gently sprinkle the powder onto the ink. This step is crucial to ensure that your ink dries thoroughly. Add any desired embelishments(date, name etc.) with your sharpies during this step.
Step 4
Carefully cut out your handprint and then hole punch in your preferred spot. Make sure that the hole is at least a 1/4″ away from the edge.
Step 5
Place your handprints onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper and bake for 1-3 minutes. Don’t worry when you start to see them curling because they will flatten back out. When they are flattened, pull them out of the oven.
Step 6
Let cool and then apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to help preserve your new masterpiece.
Step 7
Attach to your key ring and enjoy!
