Two Sweet Sprinkle Second Birthday Party

We celebrated Violet’s second birthday today with our close friends and family. It was so nice to be able to get together with everyone and celebrate our sweet girl after a canceled birthday party last year. For her birthday, we went with a sprinkle theme, complete with lots of color and fun decorative elements. Most of the party decor was DIY but I will be sure to include sources with the photos below where I can!

The Invitation

Instead of designing Violet’s invitation this year, I decided to make my life a little easier and purchased this template from Etsy, linked here. It was perfect for our celebration!

The Venue

We decided to rent out a local party venue called Play Street Museum so that we’d have more space to spread out and I’m so glad we did! The venue was adorable and Violet and her friends had so much fun. They even put up this cute birthday sign, which I loved.

The Decor

I had so much fun curating the details for Violet’s sprinkle theme. Most of it was DIY, which is always a labor of love but the outcome always makes it so worth it. Plus, I love saving money where I can! Usually, the “Two Sweet” birthday theme focuses on donuts or ice cream but I decided to make the actual sprinkles the star of the show.

The balloon garland is always a must and I made ours using a kit from CherCanDoIt. She is always my go-to for balloons when I go the DIY route! If you decide to make your own, I’d highly suggest ordering this balloon pump from Amazon. The backdrop was also a DIY that I made using plastic table cloths. You can find these for a dollar at Party City or Dollar Tree and they’re super easy to make…just a bit time-consuming! There are a ton of tutorials online for these but the basic premise is that you cut strips of the table cloth in your desired length and then just tie them to a piece of yarn or string. For our backdrop, I used about 12 tablecloths. I found the coordinating tassel garland on Amazon and it was perfect for the front of the buffet.

The balloon mosaic was one of my favorite elements from the party. It’s from The Creative Heart Studio and includes everything you need to make your own balloon mosaic at home. The little sprinkle balloons totally made the whole theme come together and I couldn’t be happier with it! The cupcakes were from Kroger and I added these fun cupcake picks from Michael’s. The Rice Krispie pops were premade ones that I got at Walmart and dipped in melting chocolate + added sprinkles. Then, I just stuck a straw through the bottom and stuck them in bags. They were super easy to make and were definitely a favorite among guests.

For the tableware, I always like to use a mix of sources. The pink and purple plates were from one of my favorite small shops, Lil Penguin Parties. The sprinkle hats, horns, and plates were all from Five Below. The pastel cups were a Party City find and the napkins were some that I already had on hand from Target. The jumbo sprinkle confetti was another DIY that I made using my Cricut.

Violet’s tutu is from iloveplum and her shoes are from Old Navy. We had so much fun celebrating our baby girl turning two! I hope y’all enjoyed reading about the party details. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all!
